Christine's flower paintings are an exploration of personal memories with the flowers being seen as a metaphor for human life. The technique is influenced by artists Patrick Caulfield and Gary Hume. In a world of increasing complexity, aggression, and perceived chaos, her drawings aim to represent a simplicity of form that typifies the essence of our inner being.
Christine's work has recently taken on a new direction verging on the political, with her painting 'All Our Sons' being shortlisted for the 2010 John Moores Contemporary Painting Prize.
