My work currently focuses on portraiture. I am constantly striving to capture the essence of a person, what makes them 'tick' or their emotional state of mind.

I explore these themes through a variety of media including painting, printmaking and drawing.

One strand of my artistic practice is about mental health issues and more specifically my Mother's struggle with bi-polar disorder.
Through a series of work entitled 'Barriers' I have tried to express my own feelings of frustration and my attempts to understand this illness and therefore help my Mother. It is a subject I will continue to explore through my work.
