I am working from film stills and with my own and found photographs. My aim is to represent the ambiguity found in facial expressions and physical gestures. By cropping and deconstruction of the source material these images are removed from their original narrative. I hope to encourage the viewer to discover the diversity of emotions portrayed in my paintings. Memory recall may conjure up a connection with their own subconscious as new perceptions challenge the imagination.
