how do i size an image?


If using Photoshop:

1 Choose Image > Image Size.

2 Make sure that Resample Image is selected, and choose Bicubic as the interpolation method.

3 To maintain the current proportions of pixel width to pixel height, select Constrain Proportions. This option automatically updates the width as you change the height and vice versa.

4 Under Pixel Dimensions, enter 600 for either the Width OR Height, whichever is the greater.

5 Click OK to resize the image.

6. Save the image in the following format:
your surname_image_title.jpg, i.e. moorel_image_title.jpg
(all in lowercase and with no spaces).

7. If you shorten the image title in the file name, please include the Full Title in the accompanying email

If using Microsoft Photo Editor:

1. Select 'Image' in the tool bar

2. Select 'Pixels' in the unit box

3. Set the widest side of your image to 600 pixels, i.e.

" If your image is portrait format set the height to 600 and the width will automatically resize.

" If your image is landscape format set the width to 600 and the height will automatically resize.

" If your image is square set both the height and width to 600.

5. Save the image in the following format:
your surname_image_title.jpg, i.e. moorel_image_title.jpg
(all in lowercase and with no spaces).

6. If you shorten the image title in the file name, please include the Full Title in the accompanying email
